cstream software package provides general-purpose stream-handling tool similar to dd, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cstream
cstream is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cstream package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cstream *
You will get with cstream package name, version, architecture and description in a table
